This workshop will provide occupational therapy professionals with a foundation of knowledge and skills in cognitive rehabilitation based on the publication Evidence-based cognitive rehabilitation: Systematic review of the literature from 2009 through 2014 (Cicerone et al., 2019).

This webinar will provide an overview of ARFID, potential causes, symptoms, and connection to autism spectrum disorder. There will be an exploration of the occupational implications of ARFID for the child and their family. The presenter will then discuss the current best practice occupational therapy interventions for ARFID and the relevant literature to support them.

Clinicians work with clients, families, and care partners, especially in the community. A lot of focus is on the client (rightfully so), but often we are not as well versed on assessing the care partners, especially the informal care partners. As occupational therapy professionals, we ourselves are givers of care, professionally, and we may also be prone to burnout in our own private and professional lives (Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Health Care, 2024). By knowing potential signs or physical manifestations of burnout, this can help us tailor our approach for maximum impact.
