The course provides occupational therapists with foundational knowledge about primary care and the services they can provide in this setting. The module introduces learners to primary care, including definitions, core elements, equity-oriented primary care, models to support collaborative interprofessional practice and case examples. This module has been collaboratively developed with six professions and designed to provide a common understanding of primary care for all interprofessional primary care providers.

The module reviews evidence for occupational therapy services in primary care, along with assessments and interventions, within a culturally safer, equity oriented primary care context.

This online course offers occupational therapy professionals an opportunity to better understand dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) and how to teach the following DBT skills in their practice: mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotional regulation, and distress tolerance.

This online course will help Canadian occupational therapists develop an understanding and beginning skills in establishing the therapeutic relationship, conceptualizing clients using CBT techniques, and utilizing CBT psychotherapy in the context of their occupational therapy clinical practice.

This workshop will provide occupational therapists with a comprehensive, evidence-informed overview of CBT-I as applied within occupational therapy practice.
