Balance underlies performance of most purposeful activity so impaired balance affects functional performance.

This webinar will provide an overview of the epidemiology of balance disorders, the complex multi-factorial nature of balance and balance impairments, research findings about specific aspects of impairment and problems that affect balance, and specific tests to screen for balance impairments.

After taking part in this webinar, participants will be able to: 

  1. Screen clients for balance impairments related to vestibular disorders and disequilibrium of aging.
  2. Understand the complex, multi-factorial aspects of balance and how they fit together as a coherent whole.
  3. Understand the epidemiology of balance disorders.
